Focus On What You Love - Outsource The Rest

That just makes so much sense doesn’t it? Focus on what you love and outsource the rest. So many people wanna get too involved with every aspect of their business which is okay to a certain degree, but you can get SOOOO much more done by outsourcing.

Today you heard an awesome interview with Jeff Mills about some of the things he’s been up to and ya also heard how he made over $900,000 by outsourcing last year. Now that’s incredible.

I’ve spoken to a few people about that interview since than and everyone’s head spinning (thanks Jeff)!

My friend Justin Brooke (who I’ll be posting an awesome interview I did with him very soon) told me about a GREAT article about Outsourcing on Elance that’s called the “Top 100 Projects You Can Outsource.”

So if you’re unsure about what to outsource, this is definitely a great read to give you ideas. My advice is that you find one project, one task, anything to give outsourcing a “test.” I promise you’ll find that it’s definitely worth it!!

Here’s my top 5:

# 7. Blogs
- Get someone to help you with setting up a blog, you need a blog, BOTTOMLINE

# 6. Search Engine Optimization & Search Engine Marketing
- 2 reasons: 1. Can be time consuming 2. Might not be your skill set (don’t learn it, pay someone to do it for you)

# 80. Virtual Assistant (check out Agents of Value or Scriptlance)
- This is definitely a good idea. if you can build a trustworthy relationship with an assistant, this can GOLD! You can have someone help you with checking email, staying organized, keep your schedule so that you can focus on what ya love

# 36. Articles
- If you’re not a good writer or wanna pump out tons of content fast, getting someone to write articles for you is a great idea. I’m interviewing my friend Scott Foster next week from Need An Article and he’ll share some of the success stories of some of his clients that are using his services.

2. Programming
- If you’re not a tech guy like me and are running a website, you might need someone to update “stuff” on your website. definitely a good option

So what are your favorite “Projects” from the list?

My biggest struggle with outsourcing was that it was going to be another expense. Mike filsaime has a product called “Outsource Secrets”. The best thing Mike said was he takes a realistic amount he would like to make that year. He then divides it by the number of hours he’ll work. That will give you what your hourly rate is. If you can outsource for cheaper then you should do it. Your time is too valuable.

Wow! I never looked at it that way. It has changed my mindset on outsourcing. It has also helped me with getting burned out doing the things I don’t enjoy. Thanks for the great stuff Alejandro. Keep it up!

Yes, everyone needs a blog. Besides, what better way is there to let off steam? Pissed? Take it out on your blog, not your coworkers…
