Gary is one of the most passionate people I know and having the opportunity to hop on a call with him was pretty fun. Gary has truly inspired me to do a LOT of what I’m doing today in my Internet Business. What what he’s doing, be inspired, be entertained, and experience his passion!
Gary gives us 3 things that he would do RIGHT NOW if he was starting an Internet Business. (Gary in quotations)
1. Interact with Human Beings:
“Go to EVERY Conference that you possibly can in your niche – EVERY ONE”
“Business in this world is about relationships…People can make things happen for you”
2. Never Ever Lie To Yourself:
“Don’t focus on opportunity if you don’t love it…You’ll never sustain the effort it takes to be a Champion”

“Keep hustling”

I agreed with everything Gary said except for his prediction that the Jets would be the Niners 27-3… pffff! My prediction Gary:
Niners 23. Jets 17.

That was just an idea … but you did it!
I like where Gary Vaynerchuk says “if you’re going super grand” and later he “LOVES building brands”.
And …. “Follow your passion but don’t trick yourself if you are NOT. If you are not, get someone else to be that and then be THEIR SIDEKICK. Be the BEST SUPPORTING actor. The greatest lighting guy on the movie set etc.
Three specific pieces of advice please Gary if you were starting all over knowing what you know now?
1. “Interact with human beings – people can make it happen for you. It’s all about relationships. Go to every conference in your niche – mix with them all”
2. “Never ever lie to yourself and try to be a champ in something you don’t love.”
3. “Bootstrap forever. Always hustle. “Gimme a free ad!”

Focus on what you love to do and work your face off at that, always MONETIZE FIRST – no free stuff first. Plus there’s a million other points.
Definition of Success Fool? “Be a fool” this is killer. This is the secret. Be happy … that’s what being the ‘fool’ is. People are drawn to this.

Gary is a special dude. I totally appreciate how he comes out and gives REAL advice. None of that cloaked “I’ll tell you a little if you pay me for consulting later” BS. This is the REAL STUFF from the heart and he knows that people are aching for this kind of info. People are on tough times but they can do something about it and take action.

It’s all about the passion! Can you work in markets you’re not passionate about and make money? Absolutely! Can you sustain it and create relationships with your customers day in and day out so that you explode your business? Absolutely NOT!
I also love the phrase “work your face off”. Many folks head online thinking it is an easy ride – a way to make big bucks fast. For some, that does become the case, but for most it’s about working hard and smart, and you can only sustain that when you are passionate about what you do.
You guys are so hyper but great communicators. Thanks for sharing (and Alejandro, your little girl is just gorgeous)!

It’s Sunday night at 6:52pm and the score of the Jets and 49er game is 14-Jets/24-49ers in the 4th quarter! Watching my husband, a die hard Jet fan losing his mind, you and this post came to mind. I didn’t want the night to go by without commenting on it.
In 14 minutes and 32 seconds you and Gary expressed such heart and soul info that really hit home. Gary makes it OK to be yourself in business and be all over the place as long as it’s working in your world.
What really hit the spot for me was Gary’s response to your “define successfool” question…”Look yourself in the mirror and never lie to yourself”.
Developing best reflections, “who do you see when you look in the mirror” is essential when building that KLT Factor as the foundation of your business and you, Alejandro and Gary are shining examples of know-like-trust.
Awesome job, great interview…everyone should be so lucky to look in the mirror and see “a success fool!”

A lot of energy in that interview with some good comments made. Gary had me thinking though. Most people that migrate to the U.S. from other countries always seem to hustle harder than those living here. At least I think so. We take for granted the opportunities available to us and how easily we have access to them. John Reese once said in an interview ” You need to do something everyday to get closer to where you want to be!”. Your passion, for whatever it is, should have you doing something everyday.
Sidenote: I want to co-sign the 23-17 reference above. Although I think Alejandro was a little generous giving the Jets 17. Sorry Gary..Your still my man though!
